This workshop provides an understanding of professional expectations and some cultural aspects of employment in Canada. You will obtain information on employment standards, policies and regulations.

 You will receive information about the key features of an employment contract as well as the paycheck. You will learn to read and understand your statement of earnings. Information about Canada’s retirement income system, employment standards, human rights, health and safety in the workplace, employment insurance, benefits, targeted wage subsidy program, legal aid clinics will be presented with a workbook for your future reference.
